LG’s Unveils its 55-inch ‘world’s largest’ OLED HDTV and demos its
Spectrum Phone for Verizon at CES 2012 – Soundbites & B-Roll
OLED stands Organic Light-Emitting Diodes. With the images
incredibly sharp, the product is 55-inches, and only a
mere 5mm thin. LG’s tech uses white OLEDs overlaid
with colors, which makes for a lower error rate and clearer
“ultra definition” screen, with more colors than standard LCDs.
LG’s Specturm for Verizon brings HDTV into the palm of your hand.
The 4.5-inch 1280-by-720 resolution display has the same
IPS technology that LG uses on their premium line of HDTVs.
It has 329 pixels per inch (ppi) and can connect to
Verizon’s 4G LTE network.
Toshiba Unveils The Excite, The World’s Thinnest
and lightest 10-inch Tablet at CES 2012 – Soundbites & B-Roll
3-inch-thick, 1.2 lbs, the Excite 10-inch Android based
tablet from Toshiba has a burnished, magnesium alloy
back and a unique channel trim. The Excite
offers two cameras, many sets of inputs and outputs,
including micro-SD, Micro USB, Micro HDMI and
an audio jack.
Sharp Unveils its 80-Inch HDTV, the
LC-80LE632U at CES 2012 – Soundbites & B-Roll
The 80-inch LC-80LE632U 80-inch HDTV has a 240Hz
refresh rate, and Sharp’s Quattron technology uses
the usual red/green/blue pixels, but adds yellow to the mix
for better color rendering.
It also has built-in Wi-Fi and the new SmartCentral TV Platform
user interface, allowing for app downloads and customization.
Users will have the ability to control their SmartCentral
TV Platform with tablets and smartphones
Samsung unveils new HTIB systems with audio
docks with Galaxy S and iPhone support CES 2012 – Soundbites & B-Roll
Samsung’s unveils new HTIB systems and audio docks
is an updated range of HTIB systems and sound bars, as well as
two new Audio Docks that support Apple devices as well as its own
Galaxy S phones and players. The DA-E750 Audio Dock is
the first to include Samsung’s “hybrid vacuum tube amplifier
technology” which delivers the clear sound output of digital combined
with the natural sound of a vacuum tube in its preamp. Both docks
will play from and charge both Samsung and Apple hardware.
Sony Unveils the next generation Playstation Vita – Soundbites & B-Roll
The Playstation Vita has a 5-inch multi-touch OLED screen,
and is equipted for chatting and multiplayer gaming.
The Playstation Vita has a multitouch pad on the back,
Cameras from multiple angles, Wi-Fi and 3G connection.

The International CES 2012 Trade Show Opened to Expected
Record Crowds Today in Las Vegas
CES 2012, the world’s largest consumer electronics trade show opened its
doors to teeming crowds of media and industry analysts who got the first
look at the hottest innovations in consumer electronics.
With attendance expected to reach over 140,000 during the four day event
industry leaders such Microsoft, Panasonic, LG, Toshiba and Sony were among
the 2,700 exhibitors who showed their wares in over 1.8 million square feet
of exhibit space.
